In this article, we'll show you how to set up a structure that is perfect for managing different clients. You can set up multiple accounts and link them with your account, then you can easily switch between those accounts. Only you have access to everything. While your clients can only see and or edit their own data, interactions, and performance results.
Additionally, you can assign user roles per account to limit user access.
In the step-by-step guide, we'll show you what to do, and also show an example to see how we did it. In this case, our main email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and we have 2 companies: Company1 and Company2.
Step 1: Have a Spott account
Before you start, make sure you already have a Spott account. This will be your main login account that has access to all your other accounts. If you don't have an account yet, find our registration page here.
For example, we registered with our mail email address and signed up for Company1.
Step 2: Create a second Spott account
Now, for each client you might have, you need to create a second Spott account.
Log out of your main account and register your second account on the register page.
As you can't create them with the same email address, they need to be other email addresses you have access to.
Tip: If you're using Gmail or any other common email platforms, you can use the same address by adding "+example" before the @, this is commonly used if you need to submit multiple email addresses.
Step 3: Add your main account to the second account
Go to "Settings" and then to "Team" to add your second account there.
And go to Team, click on "Invite team member", this will open a modal. Now fill in the email address of your second account there and link a user Role. The first name and last name can be blank, as this account has already been created.

Step 4: Switch between your different accounts
Now when you log back into your main account, you will see that a new setting has appeared. By Clicking on the dropdown menu, you can pick "Switch company".
When you click that, a selection dropdown appears where you can select the exact account you want to go to.
