When you have a large number of assets, it might get difficult to distinguish the assets from each other. To make this process easier you can set up Segments, which are groups of assets filtered on conditions.
Creating new Segments
Setting up a new segment can be easily done on the Assets page. Click "New Segment" to set up a new segment, or to filter your data.
Upon clicking this button, the following options will show up.
To preview your conditions, just select "Apply Filter". To save the conditions as a Segment, click "Save segment", you will be asked to give the segment a new name so you can reference it later.
Conditions
A condition contains three elements:
- A field, the field the condition will be applied to (like 'Asset Name')
- An operator, the logic a field has to match a value with (like 'Contains' or 'Equals')
- A value, the value a field will be compared to (like ''Sweater' or a date)
You can add multiple conditions by clicking the "Add condition" button.
Field options
You can set up a segment by using at least one filter. The default fields are:
- Asset Id
- Asset Name
- Creation Date
- Last Updated
- Last Used
- Source
- Includes image
It's good to know that the fields also contain your custom fields.
This way you can create your own specific filters or categories.
Using Segments in the Spott Studio
When you have made at least one segment as shown above, you will see the "View Segment" button has shown up on the left side of the Studio.
These segments can also be found in the advanced search.
